[MAAPT] Fall 2005 Tri-state meeting

MAAPT members,

Just a quick reminder that the tri-state meeting with the Wisonsin and
Iowa Association of Physics Teachers is coming up in only 3 weeks.  It
will take place on the campus of Luther College in Decorah, IA beginning
on Friday afternoon October 28th and ending Saturday afternoon October

A few notes:
1.  At this point, only a few registrations have been received for the
FREE workshops.  This has been made possible through a Bauder proposal
written by Linda Winkler and Gordon McIntosh.  Please take advantage of
this opportunity to attend these workshops.  Workshops are filled in the
order that the registrations are received so please sign up soon on the
website.

2.  There is still room for more contributed talks.  Please consider
giving a 10 or 20 minute talk at this meeting and submit your abstracts
through the website.

3.  Even though on-site registration is permitted for the meeting,
pre-registration will be required for the banquet.  Also, pre-registration
for the meeting is preferred, to help with getting a headcount for
beverages.

4.  There will be a Society of Physics Students zone meeting that will
have talks and posters during the same weekend at Luther College.  See
